Agate Slice

These agate slices come in a choice of colours that show off the banded structure of the crystal. These slices are thin enough to let light shine through the agate, which makes the colour glow beautifully - place them in front of a window for maximum effect. These agate slices have been cut, polished and then dyed to accentuate the natural patterns within.

Dyed vs Natural Agate – The vibrant coloured Agate slices, i.e Pink, Blue, Purple, are genuine agate but have been DYED this colour. Diamond saws are used to cut the Agate into slices which are then ground to remove any imperfections, then dyed and polished to help enhance and display the beautiful natural banding within.

The ‘duller’ coloured Agate slices, i.e Brown, Black, Grey, are NATURAL Agate that has not had its colour enhanced in any way.
