Longing to Meet your Twin Flame or Soul Mate? How Will You Know…

Sometimes we have a longing for simply being understood, heard or seen, we don’t often put a label on this feeling, but it’s there. Then BAM, suddenly you meet someone who simply gets you!.

It’s the right time, right place kind of synchronicity and one of the greatest messages we can receive. When we need a nudge to keep us on track with our Soul Purpose and Plan, we come across someone who does just that.

As you come across distinct and transformative relationships on your soul’s journey, meeting someone who you share a profound emotional bond, connect with on many levels and discover a spiritual growth togetherness, it really makes you wonder are they a Soul Mate or a Twin Flame?

Let’s discuss some of the dynamics, challenges and differences, so you can make sense of how the relationship influences your path.

A Twin Flame connection really does have that magnetic pull, like you have the same soul, while Soul Mate bonding creates a harmony and a comfortable connection. A Twin Flame relationship, mirrors, connects to the other half of your soul, and is more easily recognised, and like a Soul Mate can be a romantic partner, friend or colleague.

Your Twin Flame mirrors your passions, shares the same deep connection and humour, experiences the same glory, pain, strengths, and weaknesses, even if they live completely different lives. So it’s really important to make sure you are being your authentic self.

You will know like a thunderbolt upon meeting, yet hold tight for an explosive ride, because you may be startled by what you see reflecting at you.
And if you long for intense connection, and then you feel a deep pull when you finally meet your twin half, that’s because Twin Flames are powerful souls that produce so much passion and purpose when they meet. But also meeting someone who mirrors your own soul, is the greatest dynamic connection and sudden, familiarity you cannot explain. Sudden, because shared traits start to reveal themselves. Traits such as abilities and flaws, an intellectual bond that you find you both share a common worldview. It may bring an overwhelming sense of relief that curiously satisfies a deep longing inside you, calming you down to make you feel less lonely with the knowledge you have found someone who understands you.

In contrast with… what is a Soul Mate?

A Soul Mate is someone who has everything you need and lacks everything you have. You fit together. You connect on many levels, the jigsaw piece, interconnecting lock, they key to your door. Your Soul Mate understands you, encourages you and sympathises with you, as they accept and remain deeply connected with you. Soul Mates are here to accelerate your spiritual development, and whilst you often think of a Soul Mate as the One, you will likely meet more than one on your journey. Remember its not all partnership status with either Twin Flame or Soul Mate, they come to us as friends, lovers, colleagues, and family, kindred spirits all to aid in getting us through the lessons we chose to learn.

Time flies by when you are together, and you both feel it…., tricky to discern because this applies to both Soul Mates and Twin Flames, as does being drawn to always care for their well-being and happiness. But there are further clues, even when times are tough you seem to get along as Soul Mates, because your personalities complement each other, rarely fighting because you appreciate and respect each other's differences and opposing views.

Twin Flame energy differs from the emotional connection of Soul Mates.

Twin flames are said to have the same soul; they have shared a past life one that split before reincarnation. Soul Mates have two distinct souls who come together and love each other due to their differences. Meeting your Twin Flame is incredible and forms such an intense bond that helps heal past trauma with inner work, you often find your flame in the most coincidental, surreal circumstances. Reminder it’s not all romantic fireworks, your bond can be familial, platonic or purely professional. Intense emotions, because you will often vibrate at the same frequency, emitting the same energy as each other. Which can amplify fears, doubts, and insecurities, but spark a newfound interest in personal and spiritual growth, as you feel like time stops when you spend time together.

It’s about attraction, Soul Mates come together because their personalities oppose and complement each other. In many cases, Soul Mate relationships involve one old soul and one new soul, so that the new Soul journey has guidance and wisdom to draw from. In the company of your Soul Mate, you will learn new things from them that you have never considered. A Soul Mate complements your personality; a Soul Mate relationship generates fewer conflicts than Twin Flame relationships because Soul Mates do not share the same soul. As a result, Soul Mates' negative traits don't mirror and amplify each other.

Twin Flame relationships are intense connections of Twin Souls. (In rare cases a soul has been known to split into three or more). You typically have only one Twin Flame, yet you may meet more than one Soul Mate. One of the clearest signs of a Twin Flame relationship involves a meaningful change in the direction of your life. With a Twin Flame connection, the mirror soul reflects and amplifies your thoughts, feelings, abilities, and deficiencies. Sometimes, Twin Flames can communicate telepathically, but they almost certainly will help you navigate future friendships, and your primary soul mission, how exciting!

It’s like an instant unexplained recognition that inevitably leads to deep connections and it’s a deep mutual recognition of spiritual familiarity, sometimes after just a glance. So much is revealed during that very first conversation, and you recognise you’ve had many similar experiences, and share a mirror match of desires and moral compass. Most people believe their twin understands them better than anyone else in the world, even when they have only recently met. Your Twin Flame may cheer you on as you show spiritual growth and maturity but will also accept you for who you are right now.
