Performing a Reiki Session with a Client.

Preparing the surroundings for the client is important and representative of the healer, the room is adorned with candles and a mood lit humidifier using Neals Yard oils in this case the meditation aromatherapy blend to encourage relaxation. The gentle sounds of the air coming through the humidifier also contributes to the ambience. Sandalwood incense flows through the air with a subtle aroma. There are a series of micro white fairy lights set around pearls, and the massage couch is decked with lush, quilted bedding and large comfy heated bedding to coordinate, along with large sumptuous furry blankets to add extra luxe and warmth. The lights are low and instead of black out curtains closed, we have the outdoors glowing through the doors, birds are plenty and singing their tune, as the squirrels tend to exercise across feeders for peanuts. Soft Holistic music plays in the background; a white lotus flower candle holder is set around a series of crystals and a buddha caresses the pendulum for use when ready.

At this point I have already cleansed and blessed the room with love and light in support of a Reiki treatment, grounded, protected and invited Reiki guides to join in the treatment. Hands in Ghasso I like to connect with the energies two hands coming together placed in front of my heart, associates with being in the moment, just to be.

Discussing and listening to the client to understand a little more about what they are experiencing, suffering or wanting to develop, the consultation covers information to support the session, with the upmost discretion and confidentiality. For those who have come for the first time I explain the full process of what to expect, they often express they already feel relaxed at this point too. As the client walks through the door, it is their time. They may say hello and be greeted by little sausage dogs who generally meditate and join in with the healing whilst treatment takes place. They know it’s their job to heal you too. But please note this is your time to help switch of so that we can rebalance and set intentions that are unique to you.

With the client settled on the coach and starting to relax more deeply, I explain how I intend to use the pendulum across the Chakras to give an indication of balance. I mentally ask the question is ‘clients name’ Crown Chakra balanced, followed by please heal, cleanse and balance ‘clients name’ Crown Chakra, flowing across each of the Chakras in turn. The pendulum will move according to response, and erratic or possible static action will be mentally logged. This also allows for the client to see their own Chakra activity with an explanation.

Often picking up the aura of the client and remembering that everything that we think or do affects the aura, so it is ever changing, so it’s a reference point, but also helps signal the condition of the major and minor chakras, before energy healing takes place.

A large selection of crystals will be available, a few for example Moonstone for the crown, amethyst for the third eye, Lapis for the throat, Malachite for the Heart, Citrine for the Solar Plexus, Carnelian for the Sacral and Red Jasper for the Root Chakra, so that should the pendulum pick up areas that require attention the crystals can also support in boosting the healing process. The crystals will also be used post session when consulting areas of support or emotion, sense so that the client may be advised or be gifted a crystal/s for ongoing support in that area of unblocking or reenergising.

Taking in a deep breathing technique for added relaxation and synchronisation with client and practitioner is useful to begin with. The client is asked to attempt to clear their mind for the treatment. With a dong in a Nepalese Moon Singing Bowl a harmonious fusion of sound, mindfulness, and spiritual connection. Handcrafted amidst the mystical landscapes of Nepal, this unique singing bowl carries the enchanting sounds of the Himalayas. Full Moon Singing Bowls are made only on full moon nights when the energy from the moon creates very special healing vibrations.

Using Reiki techniques, I will mostly ‘hands off’ touch the chakra areas in a coordinated pattern with each area having several 3 minutes per section, where there are further blockages or more energy felt in the hands the time maybe up to 5 minutes per chakra. I will silently announce my intention and visualise pure white light into my own crown chakra. The energy flow felt will drive the timing. The client may also be verbalising sensations, visualisations or also amazed to feel and see colours and senses at all. This may also bring emotions to the surface for the client. Reactions and sensations will be observed and later recorded and discussed in a debrief.

More of the minor chakras can be aligned following the seven major chakras being attended to. Intention is to be passed to the client’s chakras at each point as a reminder that the Universe is very much involved in the balancing and the wholeness of the client, by using intention at each point boosts the flow of healing energy. Drawing on the use of Reiki symbols such as The Power Symbol – Cho Ku Rei, that calls in a higher level of energy, protection, and empowerment. The Mental Symbol – Sei He Ki, communicates with aspects of the inner being, and opens the subconscious a gentle loving healing symbol for restoration and the favourite Master Symbol - Dai Ko Myo signifying great shining light or great enlightenment. It’s considered the most sacred and powerful symbol, representing spiritual enlightenment and divine healing potential. Reiki Masters use it to enhance healing, amplify energy, and promote spiritual growth.

It may be that a guided meditation practice is used to support this healing, so that we can concentrate a focus healing session on what we are discovering, or repeated patterns occurring. Or Chakra tuning forks used to aid in raising the frequency of blocked chakras.

The client may experience the colours, in varying degrees of shade and vivacity, the colours may fade in and out or appear in shape form. The client may also feel movement and energy in the form of heat, tingle or even stomach rumbling in the chakra areas. Feel like they are sinking into the couch or simply raising, but each time feeling safe and secure.

During the process the client may be advised to visualise the colours, so that they can be absorbed into the chakra and support the healing. Also reassuring the client as they undergo the treatment, so they know where on the body you are and what the area means.

With my Reiki sessions I like to perform an auric comb to dispel any lingering energy, and to invite St Germain to remove any negative energy and change it into positive energy with his violet flame. Followed by an auric wrap with an Aura Quartz Crystal which is very telling at catching the glimmers of light for how the Aura is healing and sealed with what colours. And an oval Tangerine Quartz crystal for the strengthening of the golden thread and sealing the Aura. This makes the client feel wrapped in healing, love and care and with intention for this to last as long as possible.

I will tap the client on the shoulder to let them know the treatment is complete and move out of the client’s aura whilst they take their time to relax and open their eyes when it suits, before joining in the seated area with a fresh glass of water to discuss and interpret the treatment, feeling and sensations.

Giving thanks to the Universe, Ascended Masters and Guides and passing on received messages and presence of loved ones, ancestors and guides who may have joined in the session.
